These terms apply when you use Memento Vivere (mementovivere.ai), run by Nicolaus Inc, doing business as D2CEBL, a Florida company (“we”). By using the site, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

What Memento Vivere is

Memento Vivere answers questions about life with passages from four Stoic texts: the Meditations of Marcus Aurelius, Seneca’s Moral Letters to Lucilius, and the Discourses and Enchiridion of Epictetus. The answers are written by AI. Words shown as quotations are checked against the original text, but an answer can still misread a passage, apply it badly or leave out something that matters. Use the answers for reflection, not as instructions.

Not professional advice

Memento Vivere is not a substitute for advice from a doctor, therapist, lawyer, financial adviser or other professional. Don’t delay getting help because of something you read here.

Not for emergencies

Who can use it

You must be 18 or older to use Memento Vivere.

Using the site

Please use Memento Vivere for what it’s for. Don’t:

• use it for anything illegal or harmful
• send automated or bulk requests, or copy the site’s content or data at scale
• try to break, overload or get around the site’s security or limits
• try to make the AI produce harmful content
• include other people’s personal information in your questions

We may limit or block access to protect the site and the people using it.

The texts and the answers

The Stoic texts and the English translations we use are in the public domain. The site’s design, code and original writing belong to Nicolaus Inc and are protected by copyright. You may use the answers you receive for any lawful purpose.

Changes

We may change, pause or stop any part of the site at any time. We may also update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using the site after a change, the new terms apply.

Disclaimer

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy. You use it at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Nicolaus Inc isn’t liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages resulting from your use of the site or your inability to use it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
